The onslaught of information hounds created havoc online, causing many major search engines (yahoo, google, msn, bing.com AOL, AIM & twitter) and news sites (time.comcnn.com & TMZ) to crash temporarily in the hours immediately following the startling announcement.

So, in my own feeble effort to organize the top Michael Jackson online searches, I have created this page of Top 10 Michael Jackson searches and their lists or links to help you find what you are looking for while avoiding the traffic jams that currently plague the information highway. Surf on!

Top 10 Contributions to Pop Culture

After Larry King Live, cnn.com posted the following comments after the show. The following comments were the 1st 10 sent in by viewers.

  1. Micheal Jackson was and always will be the greatest, most creative, skillful, hard-working, unwavering entertainer of all time. There is not another artist that can hold a candle to him. Many have tried but pale in comparison to his level of excellence! We need only embrace the good, We need only embrace the good, the talents, the impact he left on the world and not the negative that followed him later in life. He broke color barriers and united people of all races and colors with his music. There is not another entertainer who can say honestly they have touched every stretch of the globe like Micheal Jackson has. My prayers go out to the entire family espically Janet who we all know he was extra close too and who I imagine in addition to his mother will have the hardest time with this. We all have a purpose here on earth and once it's fulfilled, it's time to go home, so I pray he now rests peacfully in his heavenly home!
  2. He was the most talented and yet the most misundestood, and truely tourmented soul. I was in Nepal in 1990, on a spiritual Journey, on hte way to Tibetan boarder, up high in the himalyan mountains, my driver truned up the radio to it's max, as "BEAT IT", was playing it was the earries as "BEAT IT", was playing it was the earriest of all, then my driver turned to me and said, "u from America, I like Micahel". I'll never ever forget that, he was in the peopl'e heart and soul, in the most remote parts of our planet earth, I wish he knew that how much he was loved and how much he inspired people. He'll never know now, but I pray that one day we'll know him. YOU ARE FREE NOW MICHAEL
  3. The world has never seen such talent in the music industry. This is a great loss, not just for the U.S, but for the entire world. Michael Jackson was an extraordinary person and a genius. He was known in every corner of this world. Some people compare him to Frank Sinatra or Elvis Pre Michael Jackson was an extraordinary person and a genius. He was known in every corner of this world. Some people compare him to Frank Sinatra or Elvis Presley, but I compare him to Albert Einstein, yes, Einstein of music and entertainment industry. MAN IN THE MIRROR
    BILLIE JEAN....R.I.P Michael Jackson.
  4. Yes Michael Jackson was THE BIGGEST Contribution, he changed the face of music tenfold. The way we SEE and HEAR music (not the garbage that is plauging the airwaves now) is all because of Michael. Since I was 4 years old in 1982 I remember him. I, like many of my generation grew up on I, like many of my generation grew up on Michael. He is my love of music and Art & VIDEOS!! And he is the epotime of what the evil press and gossip can do. It leads to a very loney life. They say fame comes with consequences and poor Michael he lived with the consequences for his entire life. (Thanks to his father) They say the good die young and I believe (as a survivor of child molestation) I always believed the aligations were a ploy for money. His niceness was mistaken for stupidness, and he suffered with that. He was a great person and I like many around me will remember him for what he was a person with a child mind and a HUGE HEART!! MY HEART GOES OUT TO YOU MICHAEL & your babies I hope god looks out for them. I know you are. REST IN PEACE MICHAEL YOU ARE IN A BETTER PLACE & I KNOW GOD HAS YOU IN HEAVEN AND NOT LONLEY ANYMORE!! Your poor children you would have lived forever for, now have to go on without the parent they ever knew and I pray for them & that they continue only knowing the truth about you. You did change the world and my life and many others you will LIVE on mine & my childrens hearts your music will continue to fill the air here in my home! I Love Michael Jackson! Rest in peace.
  5. it shocks me to believe that an icon the king of pop has passed away. A man who has transformed pop music by hisself with his inventive moves and videos. and all the media can talk about is his debts, the child molestation charges (which he was acquited of, and all the negative they find about Michael Jackson. We need to honor Michael Jackson for his legendary life in pop music, on the screen, and around the world! R.I.P. Michael (ICON).
  6. mike,we all love you ,they try to break and all you want was to be love i'm so hurt i don't know what to do,may god bless your children an your family love you forever p.s. please let him rest
  7. I'd Like the media to play Heal the World ini its video captions -cmon.. Its relevant for today and often forgotten what a contribution Michael made to Peace. He was the best and changed the world.
  8. Too old to know, but his music was great, and I enjoyed the theatrics. Leave it at that becaue when you open the box as to the man and his impact to the culture, you must then include his wierd and sexual deviant issues.
  9. I really feel that he was the single greatest contributor to the pop culture. What he has done over the years has been incredible. From "We are the World to "Man in the Mirror" He has changed music forever. His music spans many generations too. Unlike music today where a singer has a few good songs and we live for the moment. Michael was able to capture our hearts young and old with his music. My favorite "You are not Alone"
  10. Mike was bigger than Thriller. MSM only came to know him with Ben and Thriller. MJ grew up with many of us during a time when every family had that one TV and gathered around it weekly to watch MJ on Ed Sullivan and Cher. Mike is bigger than Elvis and will be memorialized greater and longer than Elvis. He will become a Martyr and the owners of Neverland need to restore it and turn it into a shrine for Mike. What you will witness over the next week will be bigger than ANY death America has ever experience. MIKE IS BELOVED. Pre-pajama Mike and POST-Pajama Mike. You can’t take from this country what MJ’s music has meant. For 45 years everybody grew up on MJ’s music, that’s a lifetime for many. What’s not included here is the impact MJ made way, way, way before Thriller and Ben. You need to revisit this because young girls were passing out over MJ when ABC, I Want You Back, and many more came out. Give Mike credit for the early era. We don’t care about his troubles, most geniuses are troubled. Wait and see the Mike Martyr that develops over the next week.
